Ticket Merchant is a fast-growing business operating at the intersection of technology and live events, building scalable platforms that power pricing, automation, and data-driven decision making. Our backend systems are the backbone of our business, and we’re looking for a Backend Developer to help us scale, innovate, and deliver. While the company is based in Australia, our team is located around the world. We are looking for a professional based preferably in Spain. Domain of English language is a must, as the company official language is English, along with Spanish for daily use with the local team. The Role as a Mid–Senior Backend Developer, you’ll design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services with Node.js (mainly Next.js) and TypeScript.
You’ll work closely with our product and data teams to build powerful automations, improve system scalability, and deliver new features that directly impact the business.
What You’ll Do
· Develop and maintain frontend code for a clean and optimized internal app in React (mandatory use of TypeScript).
· Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and, mainly, Next.js (mandatory use of TypeScript).
· Design and implement automation tools and workflows that streamline operations.
· Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver features that drive business growth.
· Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance at high loads.
· Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
· Contribute to architectural decisions and continuous improvement of our backend stack.
What We’re Looking For
· 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development.
· Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript.
