About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure Service Manager to join our international Digital Infrastructure team.
As the owner of our VMware Cloud Foundation platform, you will be responsible for driving architecture decisions, platform standardization, lifecycle management, automation initiatives, and continuous service improvements across our cloud infrastructure landscape.
The successful candidate will collaborate with international stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure a secure, resilient,
and future-ready infrastructure environment while supporting the delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
Operations and Administration
- Operate, maintain, and further develop a large VMware infrastructure.
- Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSAN, NSX, and VMware Aria.
Operations / Logs where available:
- Monitor system stability, performance, and availability
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting support
- Analyze and resolve complex infrastructure and virtualization issues
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational manuals
Lifecycle and Platform Management:
- Plan and execute patching activities, firmware updates, VMware upgrades, and security hardening measures
- Support the migration from VMware 8.x to VMware 9.1
- Implement and further develop VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
