We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the Patchman team. This includes tackling technical debt, improving reliability and performance, optimizing infrastructure costs, and simplifying systems and processes along the way. Design, build, and maintain the Patchman backend infrastructure
Develop and maintain new product features, from design through implementation and testing
Operate and maintain a large fleet of dedicated servers, including API gateways, load balancers, and internal processing nodes




Write and maintain comprehensive unit/integration tests to ensure code quality
Monitor performance and reliability of production systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement
5+ years of professional experience as a Backend or DevOps Developer

Experience designing backend services, with a solid understanding of performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability
Hands-on experience building and running high-throughput data pipelines at scale using Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
Experience with SQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, and in-memory databases, such as Redis
Strong understanding of different data storage paradigms, including relational, NoSQL, and in-memory key-value databases
Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose for local development and production deployments
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
