The CFD Engineer Specialist will support engineering and licensing requirements,
leading to the licensing and construction of the first SMR-300 plant. The
engineer will use, and have the opportunity to learn, various methods and
software to perform the analyses. The Engineer will be part of a team executing
a U.S. Government cost-shared development program requiring the efficient
completion of engineering assignments, including coordination with other
engineers in U.S. and offshore operating centers.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop new and innovative Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations
related to nuclear power plant components.
* Collaborate in small teams focused on the development and execution of
complex multi-physics flow simulations, including conjugate heat transfer.
* Apply developed and developing capabilities to directly impact design
processes and minimize the need for hardware testing.
* Provide actionable component-level and/or system-level design recommendations




to Design Responsible Engineers by interpreting complex analysis results.
* Participate in product design and development teams, presenting analysis
results to engineering peers and management.
* Enhance concept designs based on limited requirements or functions and
develop mature requirements by gaining an understanding of the system,
structure, or components.
* Transform concept designs into license ready designs through critical
thinking, literature research, collaboration with team members from other
disciplines and vendors, and any analysis permitted by project milestones.
* Support the preparation of design deliverables, presentations, and
communicate design progress in stakeholder meetings.
* Author and review technical reports, calculation packages, and licensing
documentation in compliance with NQA-1 and NRC regulatory frameworks (e.g.,
RG 1.203) to support the reactor's Preliminary and Final Safety Analysis
Reports (PSAR/FSAR).
