An opportunity for an Spanish Trainer Simulation – Senior Software Simulation
Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the Development Team for the Spanish Trainer.
You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and management of
advanced software simulations, as well as delivering training on these solutions
in Spanish. You will be part of the full software development lifecycle — from
requirements engineering and architectural design to implementation, testing,
and system integration within complex simulation environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Developing the simulation SW to be included in the Embedded Training Solution
of the SAETA 2 aircraft trainer.
* Supporting the development and operation of the SAETA 2 Simulators.
* Supporting the design, development, and deployment of the devices that
compose the Ground Based Training System where all future Spanish Combat
Pilots will train (including Virtual Reality Training Devices).
* Collaborating on feasibility studies investigating new features to optimize
pilot training.
* Elicit, analyze, and document high/low-level software requirements ensuring
full traceability, while leading the architectural design of complex
components optimized for real-time systems.
* Implement robust, high-performance code using modern C++, and perform
hands-on integration into large-scale simulators or avionics
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments.
* Define test strategies (including automated test suites), conduct peer code
reviews, and adhere to strict mission-critical software lifecycle standards.
