We are currently seeking an Investment Counselor to join our team in Madrid focusing on the Iberian market. You will closely collaborate with our Private Bankers to provide investment services to Citi's European ultra-high new worth clients and family offices.
Citi Private Bank has an extensive, integral investment product platform, and the Investment Counselor acts as the primary conduit to it.
This role is one done in very close partnership with the coverage team (banker and associate banker), as well as our investment specialists, risk and compliance partners. Investment counselors joining Citi Private Bank will be distinguished and highly accomplished at establishing, growing and managing investment relationships with ultra-high net worth clients and single family offices. They should be experienced in the implementation and oversight of investment solutions, and in providing advice and guidance on markets and actionable investment ideas.
Appropriate candidates will possess the credibility to cultivate trusting relationships with existing ultra-high net worth clients of Citi Private Bank, and should be entrepreneurial and supportive of bringing in new clients/investment relationships.
Combine in depth knowledge of traditional and alternative investments with wealth planning and private banking services to optimize client service and cross-marketing opportunities.
Work across multiple investment solutions and asset classes in a multi-jurisdictional environment (MiFID / AIFMD).
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
