Senior Property Underwriter, Spain Munich Re Specialty was formed as a stand‐alone division in 2023, and brings together the wider Munich Re group's primary specialty business units. Complementing an already strong presence in the UK and the US, Munich Re Specialty – Integral Markets (MRSGM) has been tasked with executing a wider plan to build a broader European footprint. In order to successfully establish and profitably grow our Property business in the Spanish market, we are looking for a Senior Property UW, Spain to join our team.
We are searching for an exceptional individual with a proven track‐record of growth and profitable underwriting in Property Line of Business in the Spanish market. Lead the underwriting process for property insurance, assessing risks and determining appropriate coverage and pricing.




Review, analyse, and evaluate property risks, including commercial and industrial properties.
Provide expert advice on complex underwriting matters and assist junior underwriters in the development of underwriting skills and expertise.
Monitor and evaluate policy performance, identifying opportunities for risk mitigation and recommending necessary changes to terms and conditions.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company guidelines related to property underwriting.
Contribute to business growth by actively identifying opportunities to expand property business in alignment with company objectives.
Direct and manage overall technical underwriting for Property activities for MRSGM in Spain while assuring that a high level of technical proficiency is achieved in all areas.
