About the Job
As Senior ICT Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining PL/1 applications that support the Allianz Business Systems functions. This role involves system maintenance, collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuous improvement to ensure high-quality, efficient and reliable software solutions.
What you do
- Design, develop, test and debug PL/1 applications to meet organizational requirements and align with industry standards.
- Monitor, enhance, and troubleshoot existing PL/1 applications to improve performance and functionality.
- Work in partnership with business analysts, technical teams,



and stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and testing to ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements.
- Create, update, and manage detailed technical documentation for PL/1 applications to support ongoing system maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize business impact.
- Stay informed on industry trends, tools and technologies to implement innovative practices in PL/1 development.

What you bring
- Proven experience as a PL/1 Developer or a similar role in software development. Proficient in PL/1 programming language with hands-on experience in application development.
- Expertise in working within Linux environments with microfocus and associated technologies as well as familiarity with database management systems such as DB2.
