In this role you will lead mechanical design efforts for new data center projects across the AWS integral footprint. You’ll work within a cross-functional engineering team to drive resilient, cost-effective systems and enable world-class uptime for customers. You will influence campus layouts, approve equipment submittals, and supervise design consultants from concept through construction. The opportunity combines hands-on design with ongoing innovation to support rapid expansion and continuous learning at scale. You’ll be expected to own critical equipment specifications and contribute to site reviews and commissioning.

• Lead design activities for data center projects and coordinate with internal and external teams
• Assess how design decisions impact building and campus layouts
• Manage design consultants to create, review, and release data center designs
• Handle change control,
versioning, and configuration management
• Collaborate with utilities to define site utility requirements
• Define project scopes, RFPs and RFIs, and liaise with AHJs for codes compliance
• Work with commissioning teams to validate installation and performance
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across regions and support construction phases
• Review equipment submittals and conduct RCA/CA for design problems
• Coordinate with vendors xqbhyrx and manufacturers to specify mechanical equipment
Responsabilidades
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering for mission-critical facilities
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment
