AI Tech Lead - Gen AI, RAG & Azure (x2) * Duration: 6 months+ * Location: Barcelona / Hybrid * Languages: Spanish + English (Both mandatory) Context We are looking for an AI Tech Lead to join the AI program of one of our clients in Barcelona. The role is hybrid, with 1 to 2 days on-site for a 6 months+ contract where English and Spanish are both mandatory. The idóneo candidate is likely a hands-on Generative AI Engineer, Backend Engineer, or Cloud Solution Architect with a Software development background who has progressed into technical leadership. Key responsibilities * Lead a cross-functional AI squad of up to 6 engineers, ensuring alignment on technical direction, priorities, and delivery timelines. * Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and architecture guidelines for AI solutions across the squad. * Design and oversee scalable backend systems and APIs supporting AI solutions in Azure. * Drive the integration of advanced AI capabilities, mainly RAG, plus LLMs, speech-to-text, computer vision, and IDP as a plus.



* Architect and validate cloud-based AI solutions leveraging Azure services such as Functions, App Services, Cosmos DB, Azure Key Vault, and Azure OpenAI. * Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentoring, and support upskilling within the squad. * Act as the technical interface between the squad and stakeholders including Product Owner, Data Scientists, frontend developers, and business teams. * Monitor system performance, define reliability and observability standards, and ensure high availability of AI deployments. * Stay current on Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering trends and translate them into actionable squad initiatives.
