Job Description:
The Senior Accountant Lead is responsible for leading and executing the day-to-day accounting activities of the Spanish entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, and a robust control environment. The role acts as the accounting subject matter expert, supporting month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, statutory reporting, audits, and accounting-related projects. The Senior Accountant Lead partners closely with local and Group Finance teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting and compliance with corporate policies.
Financial Accounting & Reporting
Coordinate and execute the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Group reporting timelines.
Ensure the preparation of statutory and management financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP.
Act as the subject matter expert on IFRS,



providing guidance on complex accounting matters and new business initiatives.
Prepare and document technical accounting assessments and accounting position papers.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
Collaborate closely with Controlling, Consolidation, Treasury, and Business teams to ensure high-quality financial reporting.
Audit, Governance & Risk
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely delivery of supporting documentation.
Maintain strong internal controls across accounting processes.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
Identify accounting risks and support remediation actions when required Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members where applicable.
