This is the department in charge of performing product development of polypropylene compounds for the automotive industry.Position Summary
Perform a color match against a customer standard or reference (from automotive OEMs) by mixing several pigments combinations into a polypropylene matrix and evaluate the color match by visual and by spectrometric assessmentRoles & Responsibilities
- Select the pigments to be used according to the specified requirements.
- Mix the pigments, additives and other raw materials with a quick mixer and extrude the full mixture.
- By injection molding of the resulting pellets obtain plaques.
- Analyze the colors with colorimeters and the visual assessment.
- While a color match assess if the color data obtained by the colorimeter are fine.
- Modify pigments combinations to match a color by visual assessment.
- Perform calibration curves of the colorimeter for single pigments.
- Register and maintain the TC databases, the pigment recipes
