In this role you will lead the development and deployment of manufacturing test systems and drive supplier quality for robotic and electromechanical products. You will collaborate across engineering, operations, and supplier networks to ensure product quality, manufacturability, and testability at scale. The role offers exposure to global factories, NPI activities, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced robotics environment. You will shape testing strategies and enable efficient production qualification with cross-functional leadership.

• Lead design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and service test systems for robotic products
• Define and support test strategies, coverage requirements, acceptance criteria, and validation methods
• Create and maintain test specifications, SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborate with Design, Firmware, Electrical, Manufacturing, and Service teams to ensure manufacturability and testability
• Support NPI activities including prototype, pilot builds, and production transfers
• Drive supplier quality initiatives: supplier assessments, audits, corrective actions, qualification, and continuous improvement
• Root cause investigations for production, field, supplier, and test failures with effective corrective actions
• Analyze manufacturing and supplier quality data to identify trends, improve yields, and reduce escapes
• Establish KPIs: FPY, defect rates, test coverage, supplier PPM, cost of quality, corrective action effectiveness
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and quality teams
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure readiness and quality during ramps
• Support FAT, SAT,
service validation, and production qualification
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Travel to supplier sites and manufacturing sites for qualifications and issue resolution
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across global production sites with focus on European operations
• Drive continuous improvement in product quality, manufacturing efficiency, test effectiveness, and cost reduction
• Stay informed on trends in automation, robotics, and quality methodologies
Responsabilidades
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, test systems, supplier quality, or production support in high-volume manufacturing
• Strong understanding of test methodologies, validation, and production qualification
• Proficiency with test equipment, data acquisition, and automated test systems
• Experience creating test specifications, FAT/SAT, validation reports, and process documentation
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, PFMEA/DFMEA, and xqbhyrx Control Plans
• Experience in supplier quality activities including audits, PPAP, APQP, and supplier development
• Strong root cause analysis using 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, 5-Why, and failure analysis
• Data analysis experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel, Minitab, JMP or similar
• Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Leadership capabilities to drive projects independently and lead teams
• Experience with industrial automation, robotics, sensors, motion control, and electromechanical systems
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 25-40% and support European operations
• Preferred familiarity with PLM, ERP, MES, and QMS and with ASQ/Six Sigma certifications
