As Engineering Manager, you guide high-impact teams to evolve Flywire’s core payments architecture. You balance technical vision with people leadership to automate complex integral payment processes. You will strengthen the payments engine by integrating AI-driven advancements and building resilient, distributed systems handling large-scale transactions. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on coaching to drive impactful, cross-functional delivery.

• Develop and mentor engineers, manage performance, and drive hiring within budget
• Allocate resources effectively to support several product lines
• Shape system evolution through long-term technical direction for reliable, scalable distributed systems
• Design AI-enabled workflow orchestration and decision-support to improve compliance and risk management




• Establish high-quality engineering practices, including TDD and CI/CD
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and SRE to align roadmaps with business outcomes
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and senior engineers to refine infrastructure requirements
Responsabilidades
• 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineering teams
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with high-availability distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with payment platforms, gateways, fintech xqbhyrx products, or related domains
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners
• Experience with building or supporting payment ecosystems (card payments, banking integrations) is highly preferred
