In this role you will lead Alcoa's government advocacy in Spain, shaping regulatory outcomes and supporting sustainable industrial growth. You will collaborate with internal leaders and external stakeholders to position Alcoa as a trusted partner with policymakers, industry groups, and communities. You’ll work across Galicia and national levels to anticipate developments and drive strategic engagement, contributing to Alcoa’s European External Affairs objectives. This is a high-impact role for someone who shapes policy with integrity and influence.

• Develop and execute proactive government affairs and advocacy strategies aligned with business objectives
• Monitor political, regulatory, and industry developments with strategic analysis and recommendations
• Build and maintain relationships with national, regional, and local government stakeholders, especially in Galicia
• Represent Alcoa with policymakers, industry associations, influencers, and external partners




• Advise plant and regional leadership on government affairs and external engagement strategies
• Support senior executives in interactions with government representatives and key forums
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align strategies with evolving regulatory requirements
• Manage external advisors and third-party partners while ensuring ethics and governance standards
• Enhance Alcoa's reputation and stakeholder engagement through effective advocacy
Responsabilidades
• Minimum 7 years of government affairs, xqbhyrx public affairs, advocacy, or stakeholder engagement experience
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful advocacy strategies
• Strong understanding of Spain's political, regulatory, and governmental landscape
• Experience engaging with public officials, industry associations, and key external stakeholders
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited university
