As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will lead structural design for AWS data centers in the EMEA region and contribute to global projects. You will shape prototypical DC facilities, provide technical guidance, and solve large-scale implementation challenges. You will work with a cross-functional team of architects, engineers, and designers to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective structures. This role combines design leadership, innovation, and compliance with local regulations to support AWS’s growing global footprint.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Develop u0026 maintain structural Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications
• Lead structural design on data centre projects: conceptual schemes, scope, schedule, and deliverables
• Create, review and release RFPs for external design vendors, review bids and recommend selections
• Manage external design consultants through design and construction to ensure high-quality deliverables on schedule
• Coordinate with internal/external MEP, Fire,



and Cabling engineers; manage deviations to AWS reference design for localization
• Create and track metrics for cost, quality, and duration of design
• Collect data from operations, construction, and commissioning during implementation
• Create and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
• Think creatively to meet local regulations and reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience in industrial or xqbhyrx commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, or oil and gas)
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
• Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region is preferred
