In this role you will advance automotive embedded software across the full lifecycle, from detailed design to integration testing. You’ll work with integral cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure firmware for UWB/RTLS, RF connectivity and power management. You’ll apply secure-by-design principles and Lean Product Development to ensure first-pass success and audit readiness. The position directly supports major automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 partners, offering impact at scale.
Compensaciones / Beneficios
• Oversee end-to-end software lifecycle: architecture linkage, detailed design, implementation, unit and integration testing
• collaborate with software project management, architects, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery
• conduct firmware safety analyses (ISO 26262) and participate in stage-gate processes
• drive continuous improvement, identify bottlenecks, and manage risks and escalations
• work with Hardware on boot modes, power sequencing, and timing synchronization
• align with Systems/Architecture on interfaces and non-functional budgets (latency, memory, power, reliability)
• support field Escalations and customer engagements during complex integrations
• implement secure software lifecycle practices: secure boot, image signing, OTA updates, rollback protection, and secure coding
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Computer Science/Embedded Systems Engineering
• 8+ years in automotive embedded software programming in ANSI C (89/99)
• experience in microcontroller-based system development
• strong C toolchain proficiency (compiler/linker)
• unit/integration testing experience (CPPUTEST, TESSY, GOOGLE TEST)
• SDLC expertise and hands-on C programming with modern agile toolchains
• UML with Enterprise Architect
• MISRA C and automotive static analysis knowledge
• good knowledge of peripherals xqbhyrx (ADC, GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART) and protocols (LIN, CAN, SENT, PWM, Modbus)
• debugging tools experience (Oscilloscopes, JTAG, Logic Analyzers) and version control (GIT)
• Vector tools experience (Canoe/Canalyzer)
• proven delivery capability and strong cross-functional collaboration
• fluency in collaboration with stakeholders and self-motivation
• ISO 26262 knowledge and functional safety familiarity
• ability to work across time zones and tolerate ambiguity
• preferred: Master’s degree, sensor technology, AUTOSAR knowledge, UWB knowledge
• eligible to work in Spain (legal status)
