International Benefits Specialist – Madrid
We are looking for an International Benefits Specialist to support our team in Madrid.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits inquiries, renewals, and day‑to‑day administration across LATAM markets (e.g., Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Chile). Own the regional renewal calendar end‑to‑end.
Manage relationships with regional brokers, insurers, and benefits providers; support renewal negotiations alongside the Total Rewards Manager and monitor SLA delivery.
Maintain working knowledge of mandatory benefits and labor legislation across LATAM markets (e.g., IMSS, INSS, Aportes, AFP) and partner with local HR and Legal to ensure full compliance.
Manage benefits data, plan configuration, and business processes within Workday; maintain data integrity, lead audits, and produce reporting for stakeholders.
Contribute to the general harmonization initiative to audit and standardize benefits programs; own discrete workstreams from current‑state mapping through implementation support.
Assist with broader Total Rewards activities including market benchmarking, salary survey participation, and ad‑hoc compensation analysis.
Use Excel and Google Sheets to track program metrics, audit benefit costs, and maintain regional dashboards that inform decision‑making.
Build clear, engaging presentations to explain benefits changes, project updates, and program guidance to employees, HRBPs, and leadership.
Requirements
3+ years of progressive HR or Benefits experience with demonstrated focus on LATAM markets; vendor and broker management experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field. Compensation and Benefits certifications are a plus.
Advanced knowledge and proven experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; solid working knowledge of HCM systems (Workday experience is a major plus).
Working understanding of statutory and mandatory benefits across at least three LATAM markets.
Comfortable managing multiple workstreams in parallel; able to operate independently on routine work and scope new assignments with general direction.
Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish required.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights; discreet handling of sensitive employee and compensation data.
Motivated to grow into broader Global Total Rewards scope as our footprint and harmonization roadmap evolve.
