Job Summary

Skyridge Middle School is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and inspirational head coach for our Boys Basketball program. We are not just looking for tactical coaches; we are looking for program-builders who understand that middle school athletics serve as a critical foundation for student-growth, character development, and school culture.

Duties
- Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of the team.
- Conduct regular practices, ensuring that all athletes receive appropriate instruction and feedback.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
- Monitor athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance skills.
- Manage behavior effectively during practices and competitions, employing behavior management techniques as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and other stakeholders regarding progress and expectations.
- Organize competitions and events,



ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
- Stay current with trends in sports coaching, physical education, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a comprehensive athletic program.

Experience
- Previous experience coaching basketball.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and motivate athletes of all ages.
- First Aid/CPR card required or obtained upon hire.
