ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Senior Accountant responsibilities include the execution of accounting closing tasks and related accounting processes for the assigned renewable energy portfolios within the MN8 Group, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and recurring reviews.
The idóneo candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants.
Daily work is performed on the group’s stand-alone and consolidated accounting systems, under American accounting policies (US GAAP) and SOX control environment. Senior Accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded for projects and assigned companies.
• Calculation and recording of monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals.
• Monthly preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Review and analysis of intra-group items.
• Support for the determination of excess of cash for subsequent distribution.
• Monitoring of projects under development and construction.
• Analysis of the monthly closing and evaluation of the financial statements of the projec
