FOSSA Systems is a integral space engineering company dedicated to the manufacture of satellites to provide secure IoT solutions to companies with assets in remote areas. FOSSA has launched 26 satellites to date and is rapidly growing, with over 60 employees between Spain, Portugal and Japan.
What do we do?
FOSSA has verticalized the manufacturing process of satellites, space operations and ground segment services, with an operations and production centre in Madrid together with a global network of satellites in orbit and satellite control stations.
FOSSA is combining technological miniaturization with mass production techniques to launch a network of 80 of these satellites in orbit. FOSSA launches a higher number of distributed satellite constellations at a fraction of the cost of a traditional single satellite. Lower satellite costs and shorter development times allow the use of more cutting-edge technology which is competitive with existing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement & Sales Support
Support the sales team throughout the full cycle with clear, credible technical expertise.
Lead technical discussions with customers and partners, adapting messages to technical and executive audiences.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations on-site, online, or at industry events.
- IoT Solution Design & Technical Qualification
Analyze customer needs and assess the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
Translate customer requirements into high-level solution architectures combining satellites, ground stations, devices, and software.
Serve as the main technical point of contact for Proofs of Concept (PoCs), ensuring successful delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Proposal & Documentation Development
Prepare, adapt, and maintain technical documentation, proposals, and presentation materials aligned with customer use cases.
Lead the technical response for tenders, RFIs, and RFQs,
ensuring clarity, accuracy, and competitive positioning.
Produce competitive analysis reports and battle cards to support business development efforts.
- Product Expertise & Market Intelligence
Maintain a deep understanding of IoT, LoRa®, and LEO satellite communication technologies.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to guide commercial strategy.
Communicate customer feedback and market insights internally to product, engineering, and leadership teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of international presales, sales engineering, or technical customer-facing experience.
- Background in Telecom, IoT, Satellite, Connectivity, or related tech sectors highly preferred.
- Spanish (native or fluent) and professional English required (C1 or above).
- Strong ability to explain complex technical topics in a simple, compelling manner.
- Proven skills in understanding customer pain points, framing solutions, and building trust.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fast learner able to adapt quickly in a highly technical and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical mindset, research abilities, and attention to detail.
- High degree of autonomy and ownership while being a collaborative team player.
- Engineering degree required (Telecommunications, Electronics, or related fields preferred).
