? About the role

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join a highly strategic technology environment within the financial sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions, translating complex business needs into robust, scalable, secure, resilient, and sustainable architectures.

You will work across digital applications, Web, Front-End and Mobile ecosystems, with a strong focus on APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, cloud platforms, integration, security, and enterprise architecture principles.

This is a role with significant exposure to both technical and business stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with Development, Product, Security, Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and business teams, participating in technical committees and helping drive key architectural decisions.

Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for someone with strong business acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate complex architectural concepts through clear and compelling storytelling.

? What you’ll do

? Design end-to-end solution architectures based on architectural principles, design patterns, scalability, resilience, security, and performance

? Translate business requirements into clear, actionable, and sustainable technology solutions

? Define architecture for enterprise applications, with particular focus on Web, Mobile, Front-End, and SPA environments

? Design and govern architectures based on REST APIs, microservices, and Event-Driven Architecture (EDA)

? Define integration strategies using synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns

? Work with technologies such as Kafka, AMQ, API Gateways, OAuth2, and JWT

? Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, UML models, and solution specifications

? Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture principles and frameworks such as TOGAF and BIAN

? Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Security, Product, and Business teams throughout the solution lifecycle

? Participate in technical committees, architecture reviews, and design governance forums

? Evaluate technology components and propose alternatives for new initiatives, platform modernisation,



and transformation programmes

? Define and promote architecture standards, reusable patterns, and best practices across teams

? Ensure solutions meet requirements around security, availability, observability, performance, and regulatory compliance

? Support cloud-native and containerised architectures using AWS and/or Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

? Work with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch

? Communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting the message to different audiences

? Must Have

? Previous experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect, or Senior Software Engineer who has transitioned into architecture

? Strong experience designing complex enterprise applications and distributed systems

? Solid knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, and software architecture patterns

? Experience designing integration architectures using both synchronous and asynchronous communication models

? Strong understanding of OAuth2, JWT, API Gateway, and application security principles

? Knowledge of SPA and modern digital application architectures

? Hands-on architectural experience with AWS and/or Azure

? Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or OpenShift

? Familiarity with CI/CD environments and tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket

? Experience with messaging and event platforms such as Kafka or AMQ

? Knowledge of monitoring and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or CloudWatch

? Experience producing technical documentation and architecture diagrams using UML

? Strong understanding of scalability, resilience, performance, security, and high-availability principles

? Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders

? Strong ability to present, structure, and explain complex technical decisions through effective storytelling

? Fluent English and Spanish

? Previous experience in banking, financial services, or other highly regulated environments





? Knowledge of Archimate

? Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and BIAN

? Experience with tools such as Bizzdesign

? Knowledge of NoSQL technologies, including document, graph, or time-series databases

? Familiarity with Apache Airflow

? Experience with data virtualisation platforms such as Denodo

? Knowledge of transactional or data lake formats such as Apache Iceberg

? Experience participating in large-scale technology transformation or platform modernisation programmes

? Knowledge of Project Management or Service Management practices
