The company

Temis is an AI-native law firm. Not a legaltech vendor selling software to law firms, an presente firm, regulated and delivering work to real clients, where AI does the first 80% of every matter and senior lawyers validate the final 20%.

We run the firm on our own infrastructure: legal agents built for specific workflows, credits based pricing instead of billable hours and an environment built for GDPR compliance from day one.

The role

You will be the legal founder of a firm that has no precedent in Spain. Concretely, that means you own three things:

1. Legal quality and liability. You are the final signature. You design the validation layer (what an AI output must satisfy before it reaches a client, who reviews what, where the human sign-off sits, and how we prove it. If a deliverable is wrong, that is your system).

2. Turning legal work into product. Every matter we take on is a candidate to become a repeatable agent. You decompose legal workflows into steps a machine can run, specify what each agent must check, write and iterate the prompts and rule sets, and read the outputs critically enough to know when the model is confidently wrong. This is the core of the job, and it is where most excellent lawyers fail.

3. Building the legal team. Hiring, training and managing the lawyers who work this way (which is a different profile and a different day-to-day than any firm theyve come from).

You will also be a founder: pricing, client conversations, regulatory positioning, investor rooms and the arguments about what we are and arent willing to do.

What we need

- Qualified to practise in Spain. Colegiado, active. This is non-negotiable,



the firms legal capacity depends on it.
- Senior. Roughly 8+ years, with real ownership of matters and clients. Ideally corporate/commercial (M&A;, VC, contracts), but we care more about depth than about the exact niche.
- Willing to take founder risk. This role is full-time and unpaid for the first months, until we reach the revenue or funding milestone that supports founder salaries. You take equity instead. If you cannot commit to that, stop reading here.
- Genuinely technical for a lawyer. You dont need to ship production code. You do need to be the kind of person who has already built something (automations, scripts, agent workflows).
- Skeptical of AI output by instinct. You know where hallucination shows up in legal text and you check the citation.
- Working English and native level Spanish. Client work is in Spanish; the founding team works in English.

Nice to have

- Experience inside an in house legal or LegalOps function
- Previous startup or founding experience
- Existing relationships with Spanish scale-ups, funds, or corporate legal departments

What this is not

- A general counsel job. We are not hiring someone to advise the company; we are hiring someone to run the firm.
- A safe seat. We are early. The infrastructure has bugs, the processes are half-written, and the first version of most things will be yours.
- Partner-track at a traditional firm with an AI label. If your ambition is a bigger office at a better-known name, this will make you unhappy.
