We are currently looking for an experienced Data Reporting & Visualization Specialist to join a leading banking organization in Brussels, Belgium.

Job Overview

The Data Reporting & Visualization Specialist will play a key role in transforming data into clear, actionable and impactful insights for business stakeholders.

The role involves understanding reporting and visualization requirements, preparing and structuring data, designing dashboards and reports, and managing the full lifecycle of reporting solutions while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards.

The specialist will work closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineers and other data professionals to deliver sustainable and reusable data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand and identify reporting and visualization needs together with business stakeholders.
- Capture requirements and translate them into prototypes and complete dashboards.
- Prepare and assemble data required for reporting and visualization.
- Design, develop, update, optimize and publish dashboards and reports.
- Manage the full lifecycle of reporting solutions, including decommissioning where required.
- Optimize and automate reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to develop sustainable and governed data structures.
- Promote reuse, consistency and alignment with the organization's data strategy.
- Implement and advocate reporting and visualization best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security guidelines.
- Coach junior Data Visualization Specialists.
- Document solutions and train users on effectively using reporting and visualization tools.





Required Qualifications & Experience

Must Have

- At least 6 years of relevant experience in Data Analytics and Visualization.
- Strong ability to prepare data for visualization and transform it into meaningful insights.
- Proven experience designing and developing dashboards and data visualizations.
- Knowledge of Data Warehouses, Data Marts, data extraction and data preparation processes.
- Understanding of data governance and data security requirements.
- Understanding of data strategy and its application to reporting solutions.
- Strong experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide or comparable data preparation tools.
- Prior experience in banking and data analytics.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics or Economics, or another academic background combined with substantial analytics knowledge.
- Fluent Dutch, French and English.
