Role Overview

We are looking for a Software Asset Management Officer to strengthen IT software licence management. The role combines administrative, analytical and operational follow-up activities and works transversally with IT, Procurement, Finance and external stakeholders.

The objective is to ensure a reliable, compliant and cost-efficient software portfolio throughout the complete software and licence lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end IT licence lifecycle: request, approval, acquisition, deployment, tracking and renewal.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of active, expired, renewable and decommissioned licences.
- Review software contracts, licence terms, usage conditions and contractual clauses.
- Analyse software usage to identify unused, underutilised or oversized licences and recommend optimisation opportunities.
- Track upcoming renewals and support software cost optimisation and licence compliance.
- Define and monitor KPIs covering active licences, unused licences, renewals, compliance risks and potential savings.




- Prepare management analyses, reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate licence-management activities across IT, Procurement, Finance, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Software Asset Management processes and governance.

Mandatory / Critical Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Software Asset Management, Software Licence Management, IT Asset Management, IT Procurement or a closely related role.
- Practical understanding of software licence lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of licensing models of major software vendors.
- Experience with SAM/ITAM solutions and software inventory/data management.
- Ability to analyse licence contracts, usage data, renewals and compliance risks.
- Strong analytical/reporting capabilities using Advanced Excel, SQL and/or Power BI.
- Strong administrative accuracy, analytical mindset, autonomy, proactivity and ownership.
- Good stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
