About the Role

A European institution is looking for an experienced SeniorNetwork Engineer to join its ICT infrastructure team.

In this role, you will contribute to the design, operation, modernization, and security of large-scale network, data center, cloud, and cybersecurity environments that support critical European services.

Your Responsibilities

Operations & Service Delivery

- Manage and support critical network and security services.
- Handle complex incidents and provide 3rd-level support.
- Coordinate escalations with technology vendors.
- Contribute to problem management and root-cause analysis activities.
- Monitor service quality and ensure SLA compliance.
- Define and implement operational metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

Infrastructure Engineering & Architecture

- Design, evaluate, and implement new network and security solutions.
- Perform technical assessments and proof-of-concept activities.
- Define technical architectures and recommend best-fit technologies.
- Lead migration projects and supervise deployments.
- Conduct performance assessments and recommend optimization strategies.




- Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure forecasting.

Automation & Innovation

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions.
- Implement network automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design operational tools, custom integrations, and management platforms.
- Support the modernization of network operations through automation and orchestration.

Configuration & Lifecycle Management

- Manage configuration standards and operational procedures.
- Support lifecycle management of infrastructure platforms.
- Ensure compliance, backup strategies, and operational consistency.
- Produce technical documentation, procedures, and training materials.

Required Expertise

Operations Engineering

- Strong knowledge of ITIL best practices.
- Extensive experience in ICT operations and service management.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of SLA-driven operational environments.

Telecom & Data Center Consulting

- Excellent knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Experience designing, deploying, and operating complex infrastructures.
- Technical certifications from major vendors are highly valued.
