Join AECOM’s Building Engineering team as a Tunnel Ventilation Specialist, delivering multi-disciplinary projects for diverse sectors from rail to healthcare.
You will design and model mechanical ventilation for tunnels, mentor junior colleagues, and lead project delivery in a hybrid Madrid or Barcelona setting.
You’ll collaborate across disciplines, produce design calculations, and ensure accurate contract documents.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Prepare engineering calculations for tunnel ventilation design
• Design drawings and specifications for mechanical ventilation in tunnels
• Ensure accuracy of design and contract documents
• Collaborate with other disciplines and teams
• Attend project meetings as needed
• Develop innovative mechanical design and modeling; perform flow analyses
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable experience in designing fire protection systems with focus on tunnels and ventilation
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Intern engineer certificate
• Knowledge of CAD tools and SES, CFD, FDS programs
• Familiarity with fans, controls and fire life safety codes (NFPA, AMCA, ASHRAE)
• Familiar with BIM
• Good verbal and written communication, self-motivated, detail-oriented
