Role description

Responsibilities

- Build, run, and maintain project finance and corporate financial models in Excel for M&A; and debt advisory mandates (PV, wind, BESS, and infrastructure assets)
- Debt sizing and DSCR sculpting, sources & uses, cash flow waterfalls, covenant testing, and returns analysis (project and equity IRR)
- Sensitivity, scenario, and downside-case analysis to support pricing, bankability, and investment decisions
- Review and audit third-party models; maintain model integrity, documentation, and version control
- Preparation of the necessary documentation (marketing materials) to adequately describe a company or project and its business model for the raising of capital or its sale.
- Day-to-day communication with clients by email, telephone, and in face-to-face meetings
- Analysis of current and past financial and economic data
- Key support functions: various middle or back-office administration and marketing tasks, obtaining potential targets for financial consulting or sales through searches on the web or databases, and meetings with potential clients, investors, or advisers.

Qualifications

Education and experience





- Degree in either Business Administration, Economics, or comparable or Engineering with an academic or professional complement in finance or accounting.
- 2-4 years of experience in M&A;, Debt Advisory, Project Finance, Transaction Services, or similar, in a modeling-intensive role

Technical skills

- Proven mastery of financial modeling — the core requirement for this role: ability to build project finance models from scratch (debt sizing, DSCR sculpting, cash flow waterfalls, integrated financial statements)
- Advanced Excel for modeling (complex formulas, dynamic arrays, data tables, clean macro-free model architecture); solid Word and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and data collection skills
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge

Personal skills

- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to work and present to Senior Executives
- Ability to work under pressure, in a context of changing priorities, and with maximum attention to details
- Experience in the energy and/or infra sectors is highly valued.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written), ideally a third language.

Location and terms Madrid — full-time, permanent contract, hybrid working. Start date: immediate.
