We are currently working with a major Spanish client to help their leadership teams refine how they coordinate work and make decisions. This engagement generates a significant amount of administrative and project data that needs careful handling. We are looking for a Data Operations Coordinator to join us in this remote role to maintain our records and ensure our project information remains clear and useful.
About the Role This position is central to how we deliver our advisory services. While our advisors are helping teams solve problems, you will be the one ensuring the evidence and data we collect are organized correctly.
You will work to turn notes, interviews, and internal documents into structured records that help us identify where a client's management habits are stalling. This is an entry level position that offers a deep look into how large organizations function and how small changes in documentation can lead to better outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Catalog and organize notes from interviews and client workshops.
- Update project logs to track which management issues have been addressed and which are pending.
- Maintain internal databases that record how the client teams are structured and how they communicate.
- Identify gaps in our information and follow up with the advisory team to get the necessary details.
- Prepare clear, written summaries of data trends for our weekly internal reviews.
- Standardize the way we name files and record decisions to ensure everyone on the team can find what they need quickly.
- Assist in the preparation of status reports by organizing raw data into readable tables and lists.
- Monitor project timelines and update our internal tracking tools to reflect current progress.
What We Are Looking For
- A natural habit for organization and a preference for order over chaos.
- The ability to read through a set of notes and pull out the most important facts.
- A high level of accuracy when entering data or updating records.
- A clear and direct writing style that avoids complicated words or jargon.
- A quiet and focused approach to work, with the ability to manage your own schedule in a remote setting.
- Curiosity about how businesses are run and a desire to see how strategy turns into daily work.
- Reliability when dealing with repetitive tasks, knowing that accurate data is the foundation of our advice.
Helpful Background
- Basic familiarity with spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Experience using common productivity tools to organize tasks or documents.
- A background in any role that required high attention to detail, such as administration, library work, or academic research.
- Comfort with working entirely online and communicating through written messages.
- Basic understanding of how to present information visually so it is easy to understand at a glance.
What We Offer
- A fully remote work environment that allows you to work from wherever you are most productive.
- The chance to learn directly from experienced advisors working on complex problems for international clients.
- A work culture that values your time and avoids unnecessary meetings or always on expectations.
- Exposure to the inner workings of a major Spanish corporation through the data we manage.
- This is a paid position with competitive compensation for the entry level market.
About Olive Tree Olive Tree Consulting Group is a focused advisory practice that helps leadership teams solve recurring management issues. We typically work on the space between strategy and daily execution. A team can have very capable people and still find that decisions keep reopening, priorities stall, or responsibility remains unclear. These are rarely personality problems; they are structural habits that have not kept up with the company's growth. We favor practical changes over large scale transformation programs. Our work involves looking at how decisions are made, how meetings are run, and how ownership is recorded. We prefer useful written notes and clear ownership over polished presentations and vague alignment. Good advisory work should make things plainer and leave the team with a rhythm they can continue on their own.
The firm is built on the principle that memory is not a management system. We help teams create the smallest possible written record to support their work so that important follow up does not depend on who was in the room or who has the best memory. The goal is a quieter management pattern that makes the existing work easier to lead.
