Development Associate / Manager | Education M&A;, Origination & Strategy

With ambitious growth plans and a strong acquisition strategy, the business is seeking a Development Associate / Manager to support the identification, assessment and execution of new school partnership and acquisition opportunities.

This is an opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial environment as an early member of a growing team, working closely with senior leadership and gaining hands-on exposure to strategy, origination, acquisitions and corporate development across multiple international markets.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Development, you'll play a key role in supporting the group's expansion across Europe, Latin America, the United States and other key markets.

The role combines market research and strategy, education-sector intelligence, relationship development, preliminary investment assessment and transaction support. You will take ownership of selected markets and relationships, working directly with school owners, advisers and senior leadership.

Depending on experience, the appointment may be made at Associate or Manager level, with scope to broaden into transaction responsibility and oversight of resources as the function grows.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop a deep understanding of the education sector, target markets,



competitive dynamics, ownership structures, key risks and barriers to entry.
- Research education markets, school catchments, school groups, ownership structures and competitive landscapes across target geographies.
- Identify and assess potential acquisition, partnership and growth opportunities.
- Build relationships with school owners, operators, advisers, brokers and other industry stakeholders.
- Conduct initial commercial, strategic and financial assessments of opportunities.
- Prepare investment analyses and presentations for senior leadership.
- Support the preparation and negotiation of indicative offers, Letters of Intent (LOIs) and other transaction documentation alongside internal teams and external advisers.
- Own the quality of assigned pipeline and relationship information in the CRM, and help develop consistent origination and screening processes.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across strategy, finance and operations to support growth initiatives.

We are looking for someone with three or more years of relevant experience. We are open to different backgrounds and levels of seniority where the individual can demonstrate strong commercial judgement, the ability to build relationships and the potential to take ownership of markets and opportunities.

Location Ideally Madrid-based, although the business is open to candidates located elsewhere in Europe, including the UK, Portugal and Greece. International travel will be required.

? €60,000-€80,000 base salary (depending on experience)
