Freelance Travel and Event Videographer | Madrid | International

Jade Peak is a travel editorial and expedition company looking for a Madrid-based freelance videographer to film the events and experiences we host. We’re hiring a positive, motivated collaborator who can join us regularly at our local and international events and capture high-quality video and location audio of participants, landscapes and the interactions around each experience. This is a perfect opportunity for a freelancer looking to travel.

This role is for video and audio capture only. No post-production, colour grading, audio levelling or social-media work is required. Footage will be used on website/socials and we may share selected material with participants.

Responsibilities

- Attend and capture weekly events in and around Madrid, occasional weekend trips around Europe, and occasional international trips
- Deliver establishing shots, run-and-gun event coverage, B-roll, hero footage, close up interviews, and/or other footage types as necessary for each assignment
- Capture in 9:16 and/or 16:9 as necessary and deliver the unedited source footage within 24 hours of the event ending

This role is assignment-based. Some weeks may include several shoots; others may have none. Evenings and weekends are common. We expect to offer at least five events or trips per month,



but there is no guaranteed minimum volume. Idóneo candidate

- A strong portfolio of professional video work that is narrative-based. Every event, every person captured should tell a story
- A good eye for adventure, travel and event videography, and knowing when to shoot which types of footage
- A strong understanding of composition, exposure and the difficult lighting conditions that come with filming hiking, large-group dining, or other unique environments
- Experience shooting both 9:16 and 16:9
- Ability to work independently and discreetly around guests

- Fluent in Spanish; basic English proficiency
- Based in Madrid and available for occasional international assignments
- Legally able to provide freelance services and invoice in Spain

Rates Madrid assignments pay €200 for up to four hours on location. International assignments are paid separately according to the length and scope of the trip. Jade Peak will cover your flights, accommodation, local transport, and meals on these trips. The full fee and travel terms are agreed before each assignment.
