This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Galileo SW Engineer to work on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme. Galileo is Europe's Integral Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information. CETRA BASE is currently looking for one experienced SW Engineer.

Position is based in Madrid. Tasks and Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Develop and maintain high-quality applications using Java Collaborate with team members on SW design, development, and deployment Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development processes Participate in code reviews, unit tests and bug fixing Support to system integration tests Essential qualifications and experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)5+ years of relevant work experience Programming languages: Java Frameworks: Spring Virtualisation: Docker.

Development tools: Git, Maven, JUnit.

Databases: Postgre SQL.

Linux: shell scripting.

Desirable





Experience in any of the following fields will be valuable: Programming languages: Perl, Python, C/C++.

Frameworks: i BATIS, SNMP4 J, Spring Security.

Web development / JEE: ICEFaces, JSF, Javascript, Primefaces. Secure programming. Token-based authentication/authorization: OAuth2, Open ID connect.

Virtualisation: Kubernetes, Virtual Box.

Development tools: Jira, Jenkins, Sonar, Selenium, UFT.

SW engineering tools: Enterprise Architect, Rational DOORS (Telelogic DOORS).

Databases: My SQL, Oracle.

Application Servers: JBoss.

Security In line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state. This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
