Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the annual collection, consolidation and validation of Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) data from SaarGummi plants, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 data, and perform plausibility, completeness and consistency checks according to defined reporting requirements and timelines
- Maintain CCF calculation files, data sources, assumptions, emission factors and supporting evidence, and support the consistent application of CCF data definitions, organizational boundaries and calculation methodologies across SaarGummi plants to ensure traceability and consistency between reporting periods
- Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and evidence for the external verification of the Corporate Carbon Footprint, including data trails, calculation files and supporting documentation
- Support and coordinate the annual CCF verification process with TÜV by preparing requested information, coordinating data requests with plants and relevant functions, and supporting responses to verification questions
- Track verification findings and data gaps, support clarification with responsible plants and functions, and follow up corrective actions and required evidence
- Support the definition, documentation and maintenance of consistent environmental KPI definitions, calculation rules and data sources across the SaarGummi Group
- Coordinate regular environmental data collection from plants and perform plausibility, completeness and consistency checks.
- Support, develop and maintain a consistent group-wide approach to waste data collection and waste KPI reporting
- Coordinate waste data collection from plants, including quantities, waste categories, treatment routes and relevant recycling/recovery information where available
- Monitor and summarize relevant environmental regulatory developments and support the implementation of related data and reporting requirements
- Support ESG compliance related data collection, documentation and plausibility checks in cooperation with responsible functions and plants
- Support SBTi-related activities by preparing environmental and carbon data, documentation and progress tracking
- Maintain and update environmental topic overviews, including PFAS and VOC-related information, and coordinate related data requests with responsible plants and functions
- Prepare and maintain templates, work instructions, calculation guidance and lessons learned for environmental data collection,
KPI reporting and CCF verification.
- Support plant training and knowledge transfer on environmental KPI definitions, data quality, CCF data collection and audit/verification readiness.
- Support SaarGummi corporate culture and ensure observance of SaarGummi compliance in day-to-day work.
Requirements/education:
- Completed technical studies (bachelor/master) with a focus on sustainability/environmental or a comparable field of study/training and qualification
- Practical experience with Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF), GHG Protocol and ISO14064-1
- Knowhow of data collection, consolidation and calculation and experience in external verification (ISO 14064-3) and practical knowledge with external verifiers (such as TÜV)
- Knowledge of ESG certifications of ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO50001 is a plus
- Experience with environmental regulatory topics, environmental KPI management & data quality
- Experience with environmental processes such as waste management, water related topics and/or chemicals regulation
- Basic understanding of climate target-setting initiatives such as SBTi is an advantage
- Experience in EU law (PPWR, CBAM, EUDR etc.) or willingness to get knowledge about it
- Intercultural & social competence
- Willingness to international travels
- Structured and self-motivated
- Fluent in Business English, German would be an asset
- High skills in MS Office
