MobilityPlaza is looking for an experienced salesperson to join our team. This is a sales-first role: your main focus will be generating and closing business, building on a proven track record and, ideally, prior experience selling for an online publication or B2B media brand. You will receive a structured handover of the existing client portfolio and hands-on support during your first year.
MobilityPlaza is one of the brands of com-a-tec GmbH, an established communication agency based in Germany, alongside UNITI expo, the leading European trade fair for the service station and car wash industries. Your role will therefore extend beyond the publication itself.
Our main office is in Germany and you'll be working closely with colleagues based in Madrid and Buenos Aires.
What you'll do
Sales (core focus): identify prospects, pitch, negotiate, and close deals for MobilityPlaza and related projects, with clients across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific, drawing on a proven sales track record
Account management: build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, including yearly package renewals
Reporting: use campaign data (impressions, click-through rates, newsletter performance, lead reports) to build proposals and demonstrate results to clients' marketing teams
Marketing: contribute to campaigns and promotional activities alongside the sales effort, including audience growth (newsletter and social followers) and keeping the media kit up to date
Portfolio: sell the full MobilityPlaza portfolio (yearly packages, banners and newsletters, video reports, podcasts, exclusive reports at trade shows) and coordinate delivery with the editorial team
Trade shows and travel: attend the key industry events (UNITI expo, NACS Show and others),

Where you'll work
This role is remote and based in the Madrid area (or elsewhere in Spain, provided you're willing to travel to Madrid on a regular basis). You'll be part of a team that includes colleagues based in Madrid and Buenos Aires, with the option of spending some days a week working from a shared office space there. The company's main office is in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany.

With an international audience that includes the leading decision-makers from the mobility industry, we cover key developments in fueling, charging, foodservice, mobility, and convenience through comprehensive news articles, engaging video reports, and insightful podcasts.
Qualifications
Proven B2B sales experience with a strong track record — this is the most important requirement for the role
Experience selling for an online publication or trade fair is a strong plus
Knowledge of, or a genuine affinity with our industry (fuel retail, EV charging, convenience retail, car wash) is a strong plus
Excellent command of English and Spanish; German or other is a plus
Experience in account management and maintaining long-term client relationships
Some marketing experience (campaigns, promotional activity) is valued
Understanding of digital advertising metrics and comfortable presenting campaign results to clients
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proactive, goal-oriented style
Willingness to travel regularly, including to Madrid and international trade shows
Proficiency with CRM tools
The salary depends on experience and consists of a fixed base salary as well as a commission, depending on sales performance.
