Senior Backend Developer Contract Role:

Day Rate: €350-€380 per day

8-12 month contract

You’ll join a large, distributed backend engineering community and work within cross-functional teams alongside product managers, frontend, and mobile engineers. You’ll play a key role in shaping core financial products, supporting a rapidly growing user base, and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend services aligned with team and business goals
- Write clean, well-documented, production-grade code
- Contribute to service architecture, resilience, scalability, and robustness using Domain-Driven Design principles
- Participate in technical decision-making and mentor other engineers as you grow in technical leadership

- Database: PostgreSQL
- Messaging & Observability: Kafka, ELK stack, and other modern tools

Your Team

You’ll join a large Product Engineering organization, structured into small cross-functional teams across multiple domains, including:

- Customer onboarding, account management, and compliance




- Payments and financial operations
- Platform systems, integrations, and monetization
- Cash flow management and bookkeeping tools
- Collaborative accounting and pre-accounting solutions

Each team typically includes 6–8 backend engineers and owns its product scope end to end.

- Experience: Solid background building user-facing products and working with large-scale, high-traffic systems
- Problem solver: Pragmatic, product-minded, and focused on delivering customer value
- Impact-driven: Motivated by building products used by tens of thousands of users
- Quality-oriented: Strong advocate for testing, clean code, and constructive code reviews
- Curious: Eager to learn, improve, and explore new ideas
- Collaborative: Comfortable working closely with both technical and non-technical partners
- Language: Fluent in English
