As a Cost Controller , you will play a key role in the financial planning, monitoring, and control of our resort, ensuring efficient and profitable operations aligned with the excellence standards of Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton.

Your Responsibilities Will Include…

- Supporting and contributing to the resort’s financial planning and strategic decision-making processes.
- Analysing financial data, market trends, and performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement and business growth.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitoring and analysing actual financial results against forecasts and budgets, providing recommendations to maximise profitability.
- Developing initiatives to optimise costs, improve margins, and strengthen the property's return on investment.
- Maintaining effective financial controls and procedures to mitigate business risks.
- Collaborating closely with the Finance and Accounting team to ensure accurate financial management and reporting.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.
- Monitoring the accuracy of the Profit & Loss (P&L;) statement, ensuring revenues and costs are properly recorded and allocated.
- Assisting with internal, external, and regulatory audits, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable financial, accounting, tax, and legal regulations.
- Preparing financial reports,



business analyses, and presentations for senior leadership.
- Supporting the Finance leadership team by providing financial insights and recommendations on operational and business matters.
- Participating in meetings with stakeholders and management teams, providing clear analysis and context regarding financial performance.
- Building effective relationships with key stakeholders while understanding their financial objectives and expectations.
- Ensuring compliance with Marriott International’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Local Standard Operating Procedures (LSOPs).
- Supporting the development of team members through training, coaching, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

What We Are Looking For In You…

- A university degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Previous experience in finance, cost control, accounting, or similar financial roles, preferably within the hospitality industry or an international organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, cost control, auditing, and financial reporting.
- The ability to interpret financial information and translate it into meaningful business insights.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to different audiences.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and financial management systems.
- Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages will be considered an asset.
- A valid work permit for Spain.
