Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong construction background and knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E;) packages?
We’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity on a major international construction project in Mons, Belgium, offering the chance to take ownership of the commercial and contractual management of key project packages.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of assigned packages
- Managing subcontractor accounts, payments and valuations
- Pricing M&E; tenders, variations and contract changes
- Preparing payment applications and commercial forecasts
- Managing cost plans, budgets, turnover and cash flow
- Issuing contractual notices and supporting commercial claims
- Monitoring site progress, productivity and physical quantities
- Identifying commercial risks and protecting project margins
- Maintaining robust commercial records and audit trails
- Providing commercial advice to the wider project team
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong construction contracts and commercial management knowledge
- Working knowledge of M&E; packages
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts
- Strong experience with variations, valuations and payment applications
- Excellent numerical, analytical and negotiation skills
- Strong Excel skills
- High attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills
- Data centre or mission-critical experience highly desirable
