GL Accountant - Retail Sector - 75k + Car

Your Tasks

- Collaborate directly with the group CFO on ad hoc analysis and support decision-making on a group level
- Full ownership of the general ledger: journal entries, accruals, prepayments, intercompany reconciliations
- Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual closings




- Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- VAT declarations, Intrastat filings and statutory compliance (Belgian GAAP)
- Active participation in process improvement: mapping inefficiencies, building automated workflows, reducing manual touchpoints
- Liaison with external auditors and tax advisors

Your Profile

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a GL or general accounting role
- Fluent in French/Dutch and English.
