We are currently looking for an experienced Business Architect to support a major Operations domain in Brussels, Belgium.
Job Overview
The role focuses on Enterprise Architecture and business transformation within an operations environment, particularly around the technological evolution of sorting and operational processes.
The Business Architect will bridge the gap between business vision, strategy and technology, helping senior stakeholders understand the impact of technological evolution and identify the right scenarios for the future.
The role requires someone who can work comfortably with C-level and senior stakeholders, challenge existing thinking, introduce new approaches and translate complex business and technology challenges into clear Enterprise Architecture visualisations and strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate, review and improve business strategy using Enterprise Architecture methodologies.
- Support executive stakeholders and decision-makers in evaluating strategic and technology decisions.
- Develop architectural standards and governance models aligned with enterprise and operations strategy.
- Translate business vision, ambitions and needs into Enterprise Architecture visualisations.
- Analyse the impact of technological evolution within sorting and operations.
- Facilitate interviews, workshops, reviews and cross-functional discussions.
- Challenge existing approaches and introduce new methodologies and perspectives at director and executive level.
- Develop practical architectural deliverables that support future technology sourcing and operating-model flexibility.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Must Have
- 5+ years of Enterprise Architecture experience at C-level.
- Proven experience working directly with and challenging C-level executives.
- Experience introducing new approaches or methodologies at director and executive level.
- Experience acting as a facilitator in expert areas that may be new to the Business Architect.
- Strong hands-on ability to develop architectural deliverables and facilitate discussions independently.
- Experience in a logistics, supply chain or industrial context.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies and visualisations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding teams, challenging management teams and influencing C-level stakeholders.

- Fluency in both national languages at business level.
