Skills/Qualifications
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD in analytical chemistry, mass spectrometry, metabolomics, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) technologies. - Tissue sectioning and clinical sample handling.
- Knowledge of metabolomics workflows and experimental design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment.
- DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in MSI data analysis using R, Python, MATLAB, or similar platforms.

Specific Requirements
- We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join Metabolomics Interdisciplinary Laboratory team (
). The successful candidate will contribute to the development and application of cutting-edge mass spectrometry imaging (MSI) technologies for spatial metabolomics, with a focus on understanding tissue metabolism in health and disease. The position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art MSI instrumentation (MALDI-MSI,
DESI-MSI), advanced computational tools, and collaborative biomedical research projects involving clinicians, biologists, and data scientists. * TASKS:
- Development and optimization of MSI workflows for spatial metabolomics (sample preparation / matrix deposition).
- Method development for quantitative and high-throughput MSI (MALDI-MSI, DESI-MSI) in biomedical applications.
- High-resolution spatial mapping of metabolites, lipids, and small molecules.
- Multimodal integration with histology, and spatial transcriptomics.
- Data processing, statistical analysis, and biological interpretation of imaging datasets.
- Collaborate with biomedical teams on clinical applications.
- Present research findings at conferences and publish in high-impact journals.
- Contribute to grant proposals and collaborative research initiatives.
- Assist in mentoring junior researchers and students.
