Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data solutions for advanced analytics.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and data processing solutions.
- Work with large and complex datasets.
- Apply big-data technologies to solve technical and analytical challenges.
- Develop efficient and reliable solutions using modern programming languages.
- Work with technologies such as Hadoop and Spark .
- Write high-quality code using Python, Java, SQL and/or Scala .
- Support machine-learning and advanced analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers and other technical teams.
- Communicate technical solutions and ideas effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Continuously evaluate and improve data engineering processes and technologies.
About You
You’ll ideally have an advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience, together with a strong interest in big-data technologies.
You should have:
- Hands-on experience building data solutions for advanced analytics.
- Strong knowledge of big-data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark .
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, SQL and/or Scala .
- Experience working with large-scale data environments.
- Knowledge of data processing and data pipeline development.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics and machine-learning tools.
- Experience with tools such as Anaconda and Spark .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to work outside your comfort zone.
