NoOffer DescriptionC3S works at the intersection of construction and digitalization: optimization of construction processes, new and alternative cementitious materials, sensor-based monitoring of concrete performance, and sustainability assessment of infrastructure. The group is involved in national projects and in large-scale European projects, working with both academic and industrial partners in Barcelona.What we are looking for:The selected candidate will develop their thesis within one of the following four research lines:Early-age microcracking:



monitoring and sensor developmentAI-driven management of sustainable concreteDigital twins of construction sites and information managementMathematical models for infrastructure impact and infrastructure economicsEligibilityYou must meet at least one of the following:Bachelor's degree obtainedwithin the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), orMaster's degree completed or ongoingwithin the EHEA, orAlready enrolled in adoctoral programme of a Catalan university.RequirementsWeighted average of the bachelor's degree≥8.50/10 on the Spanish scale.Studies giving access to the doctorate completedbetween 1 January 2023 and the contract start date.No previous predoctoral contract.Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics (line 4) or related.Official academic transcripts (BSc and MSc), including the description of the grading system (max/min grade, pass mark).
