Data Scientist - Renowned Company - Travel Required
We are looking for an analytical and technically strong Data Scientist who can transform complex data into meaningful insights, develop innovative algorithms and solve challenging business problems.
This role would suit someone who combines strong quantitative and programming skills with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop analytical models and algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Apply statistical and data-mining techniques to large datasets.
- Design and implement machine-learning and advanced analytics solutions.
- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
- Work with relational databases and large-scale data environments.
- Develop innovative approaches and algorithms from scratch where required.
- Translate analytical findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with technical teams, colleagues and clients.
- Communicate complex technical and analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Investigate problems, identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
About You
You’ll ideally have an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or equivalent experience.
You should have:
- Strong knowledge of statistical and data-mining techniques.
- Strong programming skills with a focus on machine learning and advanced analytics.
- Experience with Python, R and/or Scala.
- Experience working with large datasets.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience developing analytical or machine-learning algorithms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients.
- A strong curiosity and desire to learn.
