Role Description The Head Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. This full-time, on-site role in Fuenlabrada includes managing general ledger activities, supervising accounts payable and receivable, and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Accountant will monitor cash flow, control budgets, reconcile bank and supplier accounts, and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and tax regulations.



The role involves leading and mentoring the accounting team, coordinating with external auditors, and collaborating with management to provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations.

Accountant will also help improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to support the company’s growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in financial accounting, general ledger management, and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Experience with tax accounting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with auditors and external advisors.
- Capability in using accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel and data reporting skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, workload prioritization, and process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within distribution, retail, or international trade environments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Fuenlabrada with cross-functional teams.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Spanish and additional languages is beneficial.
