Experteer Overview
In this role, you will lead construction cost engineering and value engineering to optimize designs and validate costs across Amazon’s infrastructure network. You’ll develop bottom-up estimates, should-cost models, and VE analyses for a diverse portfolio including MHE, automation, and capital projects. You’ll work from concepts to bid-ready documents, balancing cost, quality, and operational needs. Collaborating with engineering, design, procurement, and category teams, you shape sourcing and investment decisions with data-backed insights and AI-enabled cost intelligence.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Produce independent bottom-up cost estimates for construction, equipment, and capital projects across retrofit, expansion, new-build, automation, and equipment deployment initiatives
• Develop estimates from early concepts through supplier selection and implementation, adjusting depth by project maturity
• Build and maintain scalable cost models and templates for complex, site-specific initiatives
• Perform should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and VE analyses to optimize specifications and cost drivers
• Leverage AI-powered tools to automate data gathering, modeling, benchmarking,



and pattern recognition while ensuring engineering judgment in outputs
• Drive scalable AI-enabled cost intelligence by curating data, validating models, and identifying automation opportunities
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Construction, Procurement, Category Management, and stakeholders to validate assumptions, communicate risks, evaluate alternatives, and influence decisions
• Peer review cost models, estimates, and VE recommendations to ensure rigor and alignment with market conditions

Responsabilidades
• Program or project management experience
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and SQL
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Cross-functional collaboration experience with tech and non-tech teams
• Process improvement using data and metrics
• Experience in cost engineering, value engineering, construction, capital projects, equipment, automation, or related disciplines
• Roles include Cost Engineer, Value Engineer, Construction Manager, Equipment Engineer, or related cost/value management roles
