Nexeo is currently looking for a Scrum Master to join the Agile delivery team of one of our leading clients in Brussels.

You will join a dynamic Agile environment, where you will act as the key facilitator and Agile coach for a cross-functional project team. Your role will be to ensure the effective application of Scrum principles, team collaboration, continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Scrum Master who enjoys coaching teams, removing impediments and creating an environment where teams can work autonomously and efficiently.

? Your Responsibilities

Agile & Project Follow-up

- Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
- Organize and coordinate key project activities in line with the Agile methodology.
- Ensure the smooth application of Scrum principles and practices within the team.
- Support the team in achieving its Sprint Goals and delivery commitments.
- Assist the Product Owner with Product Backlog management, prioritization and refinement.
- Support the team in maintaining the Sprint Backlog and Definition of Done (DoD).
- Monitor team capacity, velocity and Agile metrics to support planning and progress tracking.
- Identify and follow up on risks, issues, dependencies and impediments affecting delivery.

Agile Coaching & Team Development

- Act as an Agile coach and servant leader for the Project Team.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile principles, Scrum practices and ways of working.
- Help the team overcome challenges and progressively develop a high level of self-organization and autonomy.
- Remove or facilitate the resolution of impediments and barriers to team effectiveness.
- Protect the team from unnecessary internal and external distractions.
- Encourage collaboration, transparency, knowledge sharing and open feedback.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and actionable improvements.




- Encourage team members to contribute beyond their primary roles whenever this supports the Sprint Goal.

Stakeholder & Agile Governance

- Act as an ambassador of Agile methodologies across the organization.
- Explain to business lines and stakeholders how to interact effectively with an Agile team.
- Facilitate communication between the Project Team, Product Owner, business stakeholders and management.
- Provide visibility to management on Agile maturity, team performance and project progress.
- Promote Agile practices that are aligned with broader IT strategy and organizational objectives.
- Encourage the adoption and sharing of Agile best practices across teams.

? Your Profile

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role.
- Strong and proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies and techniques, including Scrum and preferably Kanban.
- Strong understanding of software development and project management methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Developers, Testers and other IT specialists.
- Strong ability to facilitate meetings, workshops and Agile ceremonies.
- Experience in risk, issue and impediment management.
- Strong understanding of team dynamics, Agile maturity and continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

? Technical Skills

Mandatory:

- Jira or similar Agile reporting and follow-up tools.
- Agile planning, reporting and team performance tracking.




- Good understanding of software development methodologies.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies.
- Understanding of automated unit testing and functional testing.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) tooling and practices.
- Experience with Agile metrics such as velocity, capacity and Sprint progress.

Nice to have:

- Experience with Kanban.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tooling.
- Experience in Agile transformation or Agile maturity initiatives.
- Experience working in large-scale or complex IT environments.
