We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager - UAS Pilot to join our team at the El Berriel Operational Base (Gran Canaria, Spain) , supporting advanced unmanned aircraft operations and contributing to the success of critical aerial missions.
Key Requirements:
- Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).
- Remote UAS Pilot Certifications:
- A1/A3
- STS-02 or STS-ES-02.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management and team leadership.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in manned aircraft operations, including at least 150 flight hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- ICAO English Level 4 or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel and Access).
- Experience using flight manuals and online operational documentation.
- Experience with flight planning software and operational tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operational facility and oversee daily operations.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise operational personnel.
- Plan and conduct unmanned aircraft operations, including CAMCOPTER S-100 helicopter and multicopter platforms.
- Coordinate activities with airports, air navigation service providers and relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development of operational risk assessments and safety analyses.
- Perform payload operator duties when required.
- Analyse data obtained from airborne payloads and prepare operational reports.
- Manage all flight and operational documentation, including records, manuals and recurrent training documentation.
- Ensure compliance with EASA and AESA regulations applicable to UAS operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL).
- University degree in Engineering or another technical discipline.
- Additional training related to:
- UAS operations conducted under operational authorisations.
- Aircraft type courses and type ratings.
- Recent experience operating manned and/or unmanned aircraft, particularly the aircraft model to be operated.
- Experience in organisations involved in aviation operations, such as AOC, SPO, ATO, LUC, UAS Operators or UAS Training Organisations.
- Experience conducting UAS operations with multirotor and/or helicopter platforms.
- Experience with model aircraft (RC).
- Experience coordinating operational requests and activities with Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs).
