Offer Description

GENYO is the first national-level centre dedicated to genomics that integrates Public Administration, the University, and the biotechnological and pharmaceutical business sector. This integration shall enable basic and applied research to merge, fostering the development of new projects and services for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases associated with human genetic variability, such as cancer, rare diseases, diabetes, hypertension, or degenerative diseases, among others. It has been designed with the objective of becoming an international reference centre where research of excellence is conducted within the convergence and interaction space of genomics applied to health.

The recruitment of a First Stage Researcher (R1) is required to participate in the project "Combined strategy to improve anti-CLL1 CAR-T cell therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) using LNPs and genome editing (LNP-CAR-T)", funded by a grant awarded to Knowledge Generation Projects under the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research , under file reference PID2 OBI00.





This project is carried out within the APPLIED GENOME EDITING FOR ADVANCED THERAPIES research group, led by Dr. Karim Benabdellah.

This recruitment is charged to the grant awarded to project PID2 OB-I00, funded by MICIU/AEI/ /5 / ERDF, EU.

- Bachelor's Degree (Licenciatura or Grado Universitario) in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Biology, Biochemistry, or related life and health sciences fields, or any equivalent qualification officially recognised or homologated by the competent Education Authority in the place of recruitment.
- More than 1 year of proven experience in biomedical research or laboratory environments.
- Official accreditation for functions a, b, and c (or equivalent categories) for the handling and use of animals for experimental and other scientific purposes.
- Holding the statutory documentation required for legal employment in Spain.
- Submission of all supporting documentation proving compliance with the aforementioned eligibility criteria in a single file at the time of application submission (academic and training certificates, official employment history record -vida laboral- or equivalent supporting documentation for non-Spanish nationals, and National Identity Document / NIE or equivalent).

Specific Requirements
- Current enrolment in an official PhD programme in Immunology, Advanced Therapies (CAR-T, gene/cell therapy), Biomedicine, or Bioinformatics applied to health sciences.
- Proven prior experience in flow cytometry.
- Proven prior experience in CAR-T cell culture and manipulation. xqbhyrx
- English language proficiency: Level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent; this level shall be evidenced by submitting the corresponding official certificate or, failing that, by passing a proficiency assessment (oral and written examination) in the event that the candidate is selected.
