The Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor role:

We're looking for an ambitious and motivated Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor to join our team.

Within this role you will provide technical expertise on all aspects of building maintenance under the direction of the Repairs & Maintenance Manager and the Senior Repairs & Maintenance Surveyor, ensuring a targeted right first time and customer focussed approach.

You will also maintain quality and safety throughout the delivery of both Revenue & Capital workstreams whilst carrying out technical surveys, produce detailed scope of works and drawings, contract management skills to track jobs from end to end and be able to ensure robust financial control across all delegated workstreams.





Key duties and responsibilities of our Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor:

- Work in collaboration with other service areas, contribute towards the ongoing development and review of Strategy, Policy, Specification and Action Plans in relation to Repairs & Maintenance.
- Effective stakeholder and contract management skills to ensure daily operations are maintained and for the completion of projects including but not limited to acquisitions (including new build), voids and extensive works.
- Ensure designated individual projects are carried out to specification, design and within the appropriate time scales and budgetary resources.
- The management, organisation and chairing of meetings with Contract Delivery Partners and External Contractors including internal and external agencies or departments as required.
- Be involved in the development, procurement, delivery, monitoring and review of all Repair & Maintenance works and projects including monitoring performance by measuring against contractual Key Performance Indicators which will involve contributing towards making Operational & Financial decisions and providing data and reports as required.

What we’re looking for in our Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor:

- Relevant Level 4 qualification (i.e. HNC / NVQ)



or extensive experience with a willingness to achieve the above qualification in a reasonable timescale.
- Willingness to undertake further training as required, particularly in relation to HHSRS.
- Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment or willingness to achieve the above qualification in a reasonable timescale.
- Understanding of the Regulator of Social Housings Consumer Standards and our Statutory Duties.
- Ability to diagnose building defects and make technical Experience of working in a similar role within domestic and non-domestic stocks.
