Description

Joining our Origination team in Madrid, you will play a key role in supporting renewable energy and BESS developers, investors, IPPs and asset owners as they commercialise assets and secure bankable route-to-market arrangements. Reporting into the Head of Origination, you will help clients evaluate offtake strategies, run tender processes, assess commercial structures, and support the negotiation of PPAs and BESS-related agreements through to close.

A particular focus of this role will be BESS, renewables and hybrid asset structures, requiring a strong understanding of how storage participates in energy, balancing, ancillary-service and flexibility markets and creates value within increasingly renewable power systems.

You will combine strong commercial judgement with analytical capability, working closely with clients to understand their strategic objectives and translate complex market dynamics into actionable recommendations. You will also support business development activities,



helping to identify new opportunities and grow Aurora's origination offering across Europe.

This is a dynamic, intellectually stimulating and client-facing role, offering significant responsibility, exposure to senior stakeholders, and the opportunity to influence major investment and commercial decisions across the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

Support renewable energy and BESS developers, investors, IPPs and asset owners in evaluating route-to-market and offtake strategies for standalone and hybrid assets.
Work closely with the Head of Origination to identify, develop, and convert client opportunities, including direct involvement in client discussions.
Support PPA, FPA, tolling, floor and hybrid-contract processes, including tender preparation, bid evaluation, commercial structuring and negotiation support.
Assess market revenues, risk allocation, capture prices, shape/profile risk, imbalance exposure, collateral
